SVIAZINFORMSERVICE project: Digital TV in every home
In pursuance of the State Program on Implementation of Digital TV and Radio Broadcast in the Republic of Belarus till 2015, in February 2011 SVIAZINFORMSERVICE LLC implemented a project for the extension of TV and radio broadcast network.
Customer: RUP BELTELECOM, the national telecom operator of the Republic of Belarus.
In the course of the project implementation the coverage area was extended to organize DVB-Т broadcast in all regions of Belarus, namely, in Minsk, Myadel, Volozhin, Soligorsk, Stolbtsy (Minsk region), Brest, Baranovichi, Sinkevitchi (Brest region), Vitebsk, Senno, Liozno, Gory, Ushachi, Ozertsy (Vitebsk region), Gomel, Smetanichi, Zhlobin (Gomel region), Trokeniki, Strelchiki, Slonim, Ostrino (Grodno region), Polykovichi, Bobruysk, Osipovichi (Mogilev region).Net Insight access equipment was installed to organize DVB-T SFN networks, Grass Valley (Thomson) equipment was installed to increase the number of regional TV programs in the social package.
At the moment 94% of Belarusian population is covered with digital TV, Belarus remains the CIS leader.
