Access
Access network is one of the fundamental components of any telecommunication network. It is developed for the concentration of data flows incoming over multiple communications channels from the user equipment in comparatively small quantity of backbone network nodes.
Access networks can be based on several levels, from one for small networks up to three in carrier-grade networks including the low and upper level switches and access to the backbone network.
